When a deposit is required to reserve lanes for Cosmic bowling, group reservations or birthday parties, those deposits are non-refundable at the time the reservation is made. Some people think that if they reserve a group, and then don't show up, they should get their money back. If we were going to do that, then why would we take the deposit in the first place?!?! What we need people to understand is that most likely we turned other customers away to honor your reservation and have your lanes available to you during the time you requested and during the time we promised you they would be available. Unfortunately, during the past several years, the number of people and group reservations that don't show up, usually without even calling us, has increased dramatically. And even though providing for your children's birthday party or group or company outing is fun for us, we still have the basic need to earn a living!
We maintain a customer database. We use it to mail or email our customers about bowling specials, offers and general information. We add customers to our database using information they provide to us. This information may be from signing this web site's guestbook, by filling out a promotional flyer or contest, etc. We do NOT purchase the many types of lists available and add them to our own database. We never, nor will we ever, sell, distribute, exchange, etc. information from our database to any other company....in fact, to no one. Well, if the Supreme Court ordered us to turn the lists over, we would. But they'd better have a good reason.
Our database is password protected (management only) on our office computers and is not accessible using the internet. In short, it is for our exclusive use only. We have had offers made to us to "sell" or "lease" our database! We said no. We will always say no! If you told us your birthday, then we know how old you are. We will never tell anyone, promise.
